 Careers in commerce have been quite in demand since some time now. In the 80s and 90s Commerce was the trusted refuge for those who were either rejected by or scared of science and didn't consider humanities ( called as Arts usually) dignified enough then. In those days it was one of the Graduation degrees with some dignity after science . Youngsters thought of it as a gateway to banking jobs or corporate accounting jobs .. or at least stepping stone for MBA . Then arrived the trend of much glamorous yet tough CA. ( Actually, ICAI was established on 1st July 1949 and first CA in India as registered on 9 June 1950 is CA Gopaldas Padamsey Kapadia , first MBA college was established later in New Delhi in 1954- however the tough CA exam wasn't much popular in masses then . ) CA has maintained its sheen for quite a long mainly because of a highly professional and tough qualifying exam testing practical and industry-relevant knowledge and skills of the aspirants.  "Well, I haven't yet decided what to do.. I am thinking..."  is a typical response from a teenager studying anywhere between Std 10 to even a graduation degree course in quite a few cases these days.( helplessly unapproved by his parents ofcourse, who either want him to do something they want or whatever he wants.. but decide something ) In some cases homes have become battlefields with frequent battles erupting weekly if not daily between the parties. ( you know what I mean by parties) Closed doors, headphones and mobile / laptop and sometimes even  blocked communication are the favorite weapons used by young warriors once the initial round of verbal firing is over... parent simply has to back off in the battle helplessly and push the topic under the carpet for next week.. well, I wish, time should have been a solution provider instead of just being a healer.. shouldn't it? Inspite of so many  tools and resources available to help you figure out your care...
